HR Recruiting & Sourcing Specialist

Medical Associates is looking for an HR Recruiting & Sourcing Specialist to be part of a fast-paced talent acquisition team that will support the HR Manager of Provider & Staff Recruiting to identify, attract, source and select the right candidates to support our mission of providing superior health care and an excellent patient experience.

Role:
Collaborates closely with the HR Manager of Provider and Staff Recruiting in all aspects of provider and staff recruitment. Under limited general supervision is responsible for sourcing, recruitment, interviewing, new hire onboarding and pre-arrival preparation.  Conducts sourcing activities which may include but is not limited to cold calling, utilizing social media, on-line job boards and recruitment databases, state medical boards and professional association sites, print advertising, attendance at conferences and job fairs and direct mailing.  Collects, verifies and converts candidate information into a searchable application the drives provider recruitment. Partners with department managers to pre-screen and interview candidates for staff roles.  Serves as a back-up for HR Mgr of Provider and Staff Recruiting during absences or high volume periods.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Provider recruiting: under limited general supervision is responsible for candidate sourcing and data management.  Successfully navigates databases and internet sources to research data on healthcare providers. Conducts proactive outbound calling to obtain candidate information and preferences. Researches and updates resident/fellow records in database.  Partners with CHRO and manger to develop verbiage for print ads, email and direct mail and ensures quality products are developed and sent on a timely basis. Keeps current with candidate sourcing techniques and resources. Maintains an understanding of departmental budget and has responsibility for budget tracking. Sources candidates through multiple media.  Reviews and pre-screens CVs and assures appropriate credentials and educational background. Pre-screens candidates to determine suitability for specific openings.  Assists with the pre-arrival preparation, on-boarding processes and with visa issues as applicable.  Works closely with HR Recruiting Coordinator on interview visit planning and logistics.

Staff recruiting: works closely with Recruiting Manager and other HR Managers on staff recruitment needs.  Serves as point person on staff searches as assigned.  Conducts candidate pre-screening, interviews and selection analysis in partnership with Department managers and recommends candidates for hire.

Ensures fair and legally compliant hiring processes are utilized that result in the strongest and best fit candidates joining the MA team.  Responsible for ensuring appropriate reference checking, background checks, drug testing and pre-employment physicals and all other effective hiring processes are followed.


Knowledge & Skills:
Experience - Three to five years of similar or related experience.

Education - Equivalent to a college degree. 

Interpersonal Skills - A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.  Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.  Work may involve motivating or influencing others.  Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
