Clarke University, located in scenic Dubuque, IA, invites applications for a full-time, Social Work faculty to teach in the BSW and MSW programs. Qualified candidates must possess an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program with a Ph.D. in social work or a related field preferred (ABD considered) by August, 2018.  Two years of full-time post MSW practice experience is preferred.

Clarke University is a Catholic, Liberal Arts University founded in 1843 by Mary Frances Clarke and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The University's approximate 1,100 students are enrolled in undergraduate programs of study in the arts and sciences, fine arts and pre-professional offerings, with graduate programs at the master's and doctoral levels. Clarke offers 40 majors through its traditional undergraduate program and five majors through its accelerated hybrid degree program for adult learners. Graduate offerings include masters programs in business, organizational leadership, education, and social work, and doctoral programs in nursing and physical therapy. The Social Work program’s area of focus is in mental health and medical. Faculty in both micro-level and macro-level practice are encouraged to apply.  Micro-level areas of practice or interest include: child and adolescents, evidence-based practice, rural social work, veterans, crisis intervention, groups and families, psychopathology, and human behavior and the social environment.  Macro-level areas of practice or interest include: advocacy, policy (mental health and medical), program development and evaluation, research, and administration.  Teaching responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate courses in the above areas.
