Educational Liaison, Business Analyst and Marketing Researcher

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Distance Learning Center is hiring an Educational Liaison/Business Analyst/Marketing Researcher.  The full-time, 12-month academic staff member will be responsible for fulfilling a broad range of marketing research and campaign review/analysis needs in the Distance Learning Center.  Additionally, the position will coordinate the department’s external school partnerships.  The position will be physically located on the UW-Platteville campus in Platteville, Wisconsin.  The position is an annual appointment, beginning December 18, 2017, or as soon as possible.  The annual salary is $48,333.


 Educational Liaison

  • Develop new transfer agreements with existing partner schools and professional organizations as well as identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Maintain existing transfer agreements.
  • Work with Lead Recruiter to identify goal for transfer student lead/conversion generation, and to create and implement a marketing strategy to achieve that goal.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Business Analyst

  • Maintain and monitor recruitment data integrity.
  • Develop and monitor reports associated with marketing and recruitment functions.
  • Utilizing the External Organizations function in PeopleSoft and ACE credit recommendations, identify and research companies for potential corporate partnerships, making recommendations to Corporate Marketing Director.
  • Complete surveys, award nominations, and other recognition activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Marketing Researcher

  • Conduct marketing research and analysis and make media buy recommendations.
  • Conduct campaign review strategy utilizing Google Analytics and other appropriate tools.
  • Analyze performance of other marketing tools such as live chat, landing pages, and direct email.



  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communication, public relations, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Three to four years of professional work experience in higher education serving adult populations in marketing, recruiting, student services, or distance education.
  • Experience with CRM.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with advertising tracking such as custom URLs, landing pages, and analytical software.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with and provide influence across multiple departments.


  • Master’s degree in marketing, advertising, communication, public relations, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft (PASS).
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Above average project management skills with a high attention to detail.
  • A collaborative and independent worker, with the ability to multi-task and problem solve.
