Medical Associates Clinic offers several locations from which to seek medical care, including facilities at 1500 Associates Drive, 1000 Langworthy, and 1940 Elm Street in Dubuque, Iowa; as well as facilities in Bellevue, Cascade, Dyersville, Elkader, and Monona, Iowa; Cuba City, and Platteville, Wisconsin; and Elizabeth and Galena, Illinois.
Medical Associates Clinic is a physician owned multi-specialty group practice. Our 100+ physicians and 900 health care professionals lead the way in providing quality healthcare in Northeast Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin and Northwest Illinois. We currently have a need for a Nurse Practitioner in the Neurology department at the Dubuque, Iowa location.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position. Neurology experience is highly desired, but we're willing to train an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a desire in the neurologic field. Candidates must be a licensed ARNP.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Provide direct medical care under the direction of supervising physician; including but not limited to: obtaining histories, physical exams, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and x-ray studies, establishing diagnosis, and initiating treatment plan. Provide patient education to promote wellness and support disease management process.
Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to: nursing home visits, weekend/holiday coverage, hospital rounds, and/or provide on call coverage.
