University Services Associate II

University Of Wisconsin-Platteville, Platteville, WI

The Financial Aid Office at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is currently recruiting for a University Services Associate 2. This is a full-time position with a minimum starting wage of $14.25 per hour, plus excellent fringe benefits. A six-month probationary period is required. The normal working hours for this position are 7:45 – 4:15 Monday through Friday.



  • Associate's degree in a business related field or one year related professional experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills: the ability to actively listen, respond with empathy, and write various types of communication externally to students and parents, and internally to campus stakeholders
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computer and current software applications including, but not limited to the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent customer-service skills


  • One year of experience in higher education student services.
  • Previous experience using Peopesoft or a similar student information data management system
  • Knowledge of and skills in automated processing


The University Services Associate 2 is responsible for the administration of Wisconsin Higher Education Aids Board funds and general financial aid customer service and processing tasks. This individual will serve an integral role in ensuring the timely delivery of state and federal aid funding while maintaining a student-centric customer service mindset. This position will develop communications, prepare and process new-year processing forms, and collaborate within the financial aid office and with campus stakeholders to assist in creating a forward-thinking student services experience.

The Financial Aid Office at UW-Platteville assists students in financing their educational expenses through state, federal and institutional programs.
