The University is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Office Assistant in the Nursing Department. This is a half time (20 hours per week), 11 month position. The Office Assistant provides essential support services to the faculty, preceptors, and students. Main duties include, but are not limited to, managing student databases and maintaining student files; preparing contracts; ensuring availability of lab supplies; and performing general clerical duties such as filing, copying, and note-taking.
Post-secondary education in business or office occupations or equivalent experience, including office operations, correspondence, minute taking, and financial and statistical reporting is required. High degree of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Database software. Distance Learning Software experience a plus. The ability to interact with a variety of departments, students, faculty and staff in a positive manner is critical. The candidate must have strong organizational skills.
