Essential Job Functions

  • Answer and appropriately handle all incoming client, member, plan sponsor, or pharmacy telephone calls or emails
  • Escalate client-related issues to the appropriate staff member
  • Assist MedOne Pharmacy Services and its patients with the process of filling mail-order medications
  • Communicate with appropriate MedOne colleague(s), if necessary, to resolve member issues, claims payment issues, authorization issues and daily operations
  • Assist with running standard and non-standard client reports as directed
  • Conduct outbound calling projects as assigned
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on attention to detail
  • Learn about the pharmacy benefit management industry, including pharmaceutical drugs and drug therapies
  • Exercise discretion with respect to client and member information following established HIPAA protocols
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Portray the company in a positive image
  • Required to abide by all rules, regulations and policies of the employer

 Work Hours

  • Part- time position, 24 - 32 hours per week on average, Hours may be variable include weekdays, weekends, nights and on-call

 Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of a two-year college degree or working experience in related field
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
  • Must obtain certification as a pharmacy technician within one year of being placed in position
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve member issues
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be timely, dependable and must notify supervisor of schedule changes

 Highly Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Background in pharmacy or other related healthcare field
  • Understanding concepts of pharmacy benefit management operations

Continuing Education Requirements

  • As needed for various certifications and licenses
