The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is owned and operated by the Dubuque County Historical Society, which also operates the Mathias Ham Historic Site. The River Museum and Mathias Ham Historic Site together see over 200,000 visitors and manage outreach programs that serve over 50,000 more. Part aquarium, part museum, part science center, it is the mission of the institution to inspire stewardship by creating educational experiences where history and rivers come alive. The organization employees more than 90 full- and part-time employees.
The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is seeking candidates for the DaVinci Exhibit Associate Positions. An ideal candidate is someone with exceptional service skills, feels comfortable interacting with guests, delivers accurate information to guests, works well on a team, and positively portrays the organization. This position offers working a flexible schedule and does require weekend and holiday hours. DaVinci the Exhibition is open May 12th - October 8th, 2018.
- We are seeking energetic, motivated, positive people to join the fast-paced fun environment that is created with a trip to the DaVinci Exhibit. Begin their experience by being a positive fun interaction, enhance their experience by providing information during their tour, or end their experience with a souvenir.
- Highly qualified candidates would have previous experience in customer service, cash handling, sales, and guest interaction, although not required. Excellent communication skill and decision-making will help someone succeed in this position.
- Competitive pay beginning at $9.00 per hour. Varied shift lengths during our operating hours of 9-6 during the summer. As an employee of The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, you will receive a membership to the museum and discounts at our museum stores.
- These are summer seasonal positions. The anticipated start date is May 1st, 2018, with the exhibit opening May 12th, 2018.
