As a Fleet Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service - via phone – to our internal garage staff and our external vendors. You will also handle the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet vehicles throughout our service territories in Wisconsin and Iowa.
The Coordinator works regularly within our computerized information management systems for thorough recordkeeping, analysis, evaluation and report generation on vehicle maintenance and repair history. You will also need to ensure compliance with preventative maintenance, vehicle inspections and emergency response procedures.
This position works Monday through Friday but does have on call duties every 4 to 5 weeks. We will provide a company phone in the event you need to handle after hours calls for breakdowns and responses to emergency storm situations supporting truck permitting.
- A Bachelor’s degree AND two years of technical and/or professional experience, OR, in the absence of a degree, six years of experience working in the customer service and/or fleet industry with emphasis in supporting recordkeeping and reporting requirements
- Knowledge or experience in basic automotive/truck repair
- Basic knowledge of the operating cost of fleet vehicles
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management)
