Assist Industrial Engineering staff in completion of improvement projects related to plant layout, production rates, methods and processes, equipment assessment and evaluation
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the Corporate Engineering oversight and project management of new Dubuque Operations facility:
Internal transition move planning from one plant to the other
Support rigging supplier with equipment move planning
Equipment hook up requirements
Location marking of all equipment on new plant floor prior to installation
Support of sub-contractors at building site as required
Support installation requirements of new equipment
Additional Equipment/supplier evaluation as required
Conduct time study evaluations for production rate and labor costing purposes as required
Modify/revise plant layout drawings as required
Support equipment capacity evaluation as required
Investigate new technology/equipment to support manufacturing processes
Evaluate production efficiencies by plant as required
Investigate safety/ergonomic issues as assigned
Support, promote and participate in Continuous Improvement activities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Student in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering degree program.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities.
Knowledge of Solid Works and AutoCAD (or similar 2D CAD program) preferred.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
Strong time management skills.
