Machine Operator - 2nd shift

The work-week consists of four-ten hour days; Monday - Thursday 3:15 p.m. - 1:45 a.m. with occasional overtime on Friday. The work environment is friendly, clean, and climate controlled. We offer an excellent compensation and benefit package as well as opportunities for advancement.

Position Summary

Executes production requirements for manufacturing and handling of various motor components.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operates various manufacturing machines and equipment.
  • Performs offsets on CNC equipment.
  • Performs tool changes (not requiring tool touch-off)
  • CC Assembly of motor component products; to include, but not limited to:  pressing, magnetizing, epoxy coating, bead blasting, and broaching.
  • Changeover of equipment to support the CC Assembly process.
  • Run CMM/GMM programs.
  • Assists Set-up & Operate Employees as needed.
  • Monitors equipment & machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running.
  • Follow written instruction, process plans and blueprints.
  • Performs periodic checks to ensure process accuracy
  • Complete relevant documentation
  • Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and high standards
  • Utilize various material handling and or production equipment as required.
  • Occasional overtime required


General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follows all departmental work procedures and company policies, including all company safety policies.
  • Participates in maintaining the company’s quality system and adheres to standard operating procedures as applicable.
  • Participates in employee training programs.
  • Ensures the work area and equipment is properly maintained to provide a safe and efficient operation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers and various gauges.
  • Strong Math Skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High Mechanical & Technical Skills
  • Strong analytical skills in order to understand blueprints, schematics, and other BEC documentation.
  • Ability to use BEC information systems such as Visual PDM, 4th Shift, etc. as required.


Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) required.


Working Environment

  • Fast paced, temperature controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Exposed to materials and noise levels which are well within the acceptable limits set by Occupational Safety & Health Administration on an occasional basis.
  • Personal protective equipment required as instructed.
  • Anti-Static personal equipment required as instructed.


Physical Requirements

  • Work is considered “Light Work” with occasional “Medium Work” from the Physical Demand Definitions of the Dictionary of Occupational Titles according to the Department of Labor.
