Medical Associates Clinic is a well-established multispecialty group practice with over 170 providers and a staff of over 1,000 health care professionals and support personnel. Medical Associates Clinic offers several locations from which to seek medical care, including facilities at 1500 Associates Drive, 1000 Langworthy, and 1940 Elm Street in Dubuque, Iowa; as well as facilities in Bellevue, Cascade, Dyersville, Elkader, and Monona, Iowa; Cuba City, and Platteville, Wisconsin; and Elizabeth and Galena, Illinois.
Medical Associates Health Plans has served the employers and residents of the Tri-State area for over 30 years with fully insured health insurance products and a unique Medicare program. In addition, Medical Associates Health Plans offers administrative services to employers who self-fund their health insurance through its affiliated company, Health Choices.
This position is responsible for Sales and Retention of employer group health insurance clients. Work directly and through independent brokers/consultants to develop and manage relationships with businesses in the Tri-State area. Work with clients to understand their benefit needs, provide industry information and develop and execute a strategy to meet these needs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet and exceed Sales goals by working through multiple distribution channels. This includes prospecting directly, working with independent health insurance brokers and consultants, and developing other business relationships that lead to referrals.
Meet and exceed Retention goals by working with internal and external stakeholders to meet clients benefits needs. Activities will include working with clients to develop strategy and provide education, as well as working internally to address client questions and concerns.
Serve as an advocate of the customer to health plan operational areas, balancing customer needs and business appropriateness. Stay abreast of market demand and customer needs and make recommendations for plan design, network design, etc. in order to provide exceptional products and services.
Participate as part of the Sales team and assist the team as needed with participating in meetings, collaborating on projects and assisting with internal processes.
Represents MAHP in the community through involvement in associations, nonprofits or other community organizations and activities.
Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience in Sales, Insurance, and/or Account Management.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
