Function: Product Engineering
Title: Electrical Engineer - 41303

Your Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, for the John Deere Construction & Forestry Division located in Dubuque, IA, you will be responsible for specification, selection and packaging of electrical components for Dubuque Wheeled Forestry including related PDMLink work.  In addition, you will:

  • Document the design through design guidelines and meeting John Deere standard requirements
  • Integrate new electrical components in cross-functional PDP team
  • Work with suppliers to produce and maintain wire harness drawings
  • Perform wire harness routings using Pro/E
  • Provide field support of electrical systems
  • Provide EE support to the Wheeled Forestry production line as required
  • Assist in implementation of vehicle software and work with suppliers to ensure the machine meets all documented specifications

  • Experience identifying creative and efficient solutions to technical problems
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Intern or professional work experience in Engineering

What Makes You Stand Out

  • A background in Construction, Forestry, or off-highway equipment
  • Technical skills or practical work experience with Electrical Engineering
  • Product design experience
  • Proficient with Pro/E or other similar 3D modeling software

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
