Clarke University is currently recruiting for a full-time Transfer Admissions Counselor. This position implements recruitment plans to recruit students from a regional and national geographic territory to become part of the Clarke University student body. Responsibilities include traveling and representing Clarke University at recruiting events, high schools, community colleges within the designated territory; speaking to and advising prospective students on college transition, academic and career planning, and serving as an information source and advocate for students and parents; gaining and applying knowledge of transfer specific admissions practices; and having knowledge of Clarke University, particularly as it relates to the university’s mission, academic programs, financial aid, and campus activities.
A bachelor's degree is required. Previous office experience a plus. A high degree of computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office, databases, and web-based software is a plus. A successful employee will be an proven problem solver, an exemplary listener, self-motivated and require minimal supervision, with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. Outstanding time management and organization skills required. Seasonal travel will be required including some weekend and evening work.
