The Design Intern will interact with all members of the Marketing team, as well as other divisions within Cartegraph under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing. Estimated Start Date: 9/1/2018.

THE PROJECTS AND WORK YOU WILL DO
- Work closely with our Brand Designer to create, iterate, and complete design projects—including landing pages, ads, brochures, event guides, emails, and more.
- Collaborate with our Visual Media Producer on imagery creation and selection, video production, and other related tasks
- Be heavily involved in the creation and production of materials for the Cartegraph National Conference
- Learn to use Hubspot to produce marketing materials
- Work with vendors to coordinate projects and order materials
- Multi-task on simultaneous projects, tasks, and deadlines
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Marketing team
- Understand, reinforce, and help evolve the Cartegraph brand
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Perform related duties as requested by members of the marketing team
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Current enrollment in a two- or four-year program in Graphic Design, Visual Media, Media Studies, or a related field
- A digital portfolio of work that demonstrates your design capabilities
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is required
- Familiarity with video editing software, including Premiere Pro and AfterEffects, preferred
- Experience with shooting photo and video preferred
- Familiarity with HTML & web design
- Attention to detail and a commitment to consistently deliver quality work on a deadline
- Ability to learn quickly and on a continuing basis
- Self-motivated, self-starter personality
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment is essential
- Strong work ethic with outstanding time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
