DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scorecard and Reporting Management – Support the identification, development and management of reporting for key logistics related performance reports. Understand the needs of the user, ensure report design is comprehensive and functional.
Latitudes Direct Container Logistics - Processing PO, Supplier Communication, Carrier Communication, Routing Guide Maintenance, New Customer/ Carrier rate, Processing Customer Invoice, selection & system updates; Tracking & Tracing of Containers, Customer Experience
Import Logistics for Home Furnishings - Carrier Communication, Customized Logistics Solutions for the retailer delivery model, Flex Track management, (back-up to tracking / tracing of Home Styles/ Commercial Office).
International Carrier Rate Management – Manage carrier quote requests for new lanes and spot quote lanes using the Flexsteel preferred carrier list. Negotiates any mid-year rate change, provides recommendations to upper management for approval/ execution. Update system, reports, and matrix with new rates. Update routing guide and communicate to all internal and external customers as needed.
International and Domestic Parcel Freight Administration – Work with Logistics and Compliance Supervisor to facilitate the compilation of annual published and discount rates. Alignment of standard rate templates and discounts for review. Creation of a high-level routing guide with carrier & service level type for both domestic and international lanes. Troubleshoot service, system, and rate issues with parcel carriers and shipping locations. Develop parcel packaging guide for suppliers and shipping locations to ensure the best possible freight rates for each commodity type, aligning with new dimensional weight requirements.
Flex Track / Cargo Management Administration – Manage daily Cargo Management reports. Provide internal and external communication when reports are added/modified/changed. Oversite of DMI Cargo Management weekly invoices. Support Cargo Management project lead with additional projects as needed. Designated ‘Super-user’ and provide training as necessary for internal employees. Design and develop customized cargo management reports for specialized user groups and team performance management. Audit system and reports for accuracy, build out corrective action plan to improve data accuracy and report functionality.
Annual Ocean Freight RFP – Sent out Annual Ocean Freight RFP to all candidates, receive, compile, and analyze quotes. Make recommendation to team based on rates, service, financial stability, and other varying factors. Identify ways to reduce costs out of the total ocean freight landed cost.
SAP Integration Support – Support GES Vendor Portal/SAP Deployment II Integration. Work to develop freight management report, accrual report, and other meaningful logistics reports in SAP. Work through logistics related EDI transaction ‘end to end’ testing. Determine ‘key performance’ measures that test success of deployment, monitor and manage project plan through successful completion.
Parcel Freight Support – Support annual evaluation and negotiation of parcel carrier rates and services. Build logistics tools and reports through carrier’s portal to monitor and manage performance, rates, and allocations by carrier for the company.
Other Logistics Initiatives – Improve container utilization, Monitor Spare Parts Ordered vs Scheduled Report, Process & audit consolidation program charges and cargo management fees
Other Logistics & Compliance Support as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Supply Chain Related Four (4) year college degree or similar work experience required
Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PPT experience required
