Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) serves the transfer, career and technical education needs of our region’s residents, businesses and industries in a district area that encompasses eight counties and approximately 5,000 sq. miles. More than 28,400 students enroll in Business and Community Solutions courses and academic certificate, diploma and degree programs every year. NICC offers associate’s degrees and general education courses that readily transfer to four-year colleges and universities, and state-of-the-art technology and lab areas that prepare students for high demand careers.
The College has two primary campuses in Peosta and Calmar, and seven service locations in Cresco, Dubuque, Manchester, New Hampton, Oelwein and Waukon, that offer convenient amenities, services, educational resources and computer labs for students.
As one of northeast Iowa’s largest employers, the College employs 680 faculty and staff members, and the average tenure of all part-time and full-time faculty is 12 years.
Bachelor’s Degree Public presentation, marketing, and/or sales experience.
Ability to represent the college positively, enthusiastically, and effectively with prospective students, parents, secondary school personnel, college faculty, staff, alumni, referral agencies, community groups, businesses, and general public.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel extensively, may include some weekend/evening hours or overnight travel, and to work variable hours.
Experience in sales or post-secondary education, preferably with community college experience.
Marketing, and/or college recruiting experience. Datatel Colleague experience valuable.

Duties and Responsibilities
Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the job class as necessary.
Schedule and visit high schools, referral agencies, community groups, businesses, and industries in assigned territory to explain the role of the College and to secure potential students and business leads.
Coordinate and assist in the recruitment of adult students. Includes attending and/or planning events at community organizations or College centers to recruit credit and non-credit adult populations.
Ensure timely and complete follow-up on potential applicants utilizing traditional and high-tech communication methods.
Provide prospects with information regarding admission to the College and related enrollment processes.
Meet with prospective students and visitors during campus visits and acquaint them with the campus.
Assist and monitor international students to ensure compliance with federal regulations regarding their education.
Assist with college promotional projects and participate as assigned in college fairs, career fairs, health fairs, and other recruiting events.
Collaborate with student services staff and student life on planning and oversight of the student iMPACT team.
Assist the high school relations staff with planning of informational activities for high school counselors, teachers, principals, superintendents, and referral sources.
In cooperation with the Assistant Director of Enrollment Operations, monitor the application process to ensure that marketing efforts and admissions systems are functioning effectively.
In cooperation with the Assistant Director of Enrollment Operations and marketing department, aid in the development, implementation, and evaluation of course and program marketing.
Keep current with professional and technological innovations in admissions, recruitment, and student development and assist the Director of Recruitment and co-workers with the implementation of new technologies in Admissions.
Provide periodic reports of recruiting activities for the Director of Recruitment and Vice President of Business and Community Solutions as requested.
Collaborate with coworkers to manage budgeted funds for the Admissions department.
In cooperation with the Director of Recruitment, develop and recommend new recruitment strategies for the College Recruitment and Strategic Enrollment Management Plans.
Maintain current awareness of individual career program characteristics by outreach to instructors and academic advisors and by attending departmental staff meetings.
Work cooperatively with all other student services and academic departments to ensure a smooth matriculation process for students.
Assist the Director of Recruitment in developing and implementing a recruitment model for employee sponsored/program sponsored programs to businesses.
In cooperation with the sales team, recruit businesses for training needs.
Serve as the Success Coach for assigned schools.
Assist in meeting with undecided students to identify educational pathway.
Recruit students into all NICC programs, including High School Equivalency Diploma, Career Pathway Certificate, and credit programs.
Seek opportunities for appropriate professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
Participate in staff meetings and on committees representing the Admissions office and recruitment functions.
