ELECTRIC UTILITY SUPERINTENDENT
The City of Preston is currently seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team as an Electric Utility Superintendent. This is a full-time position; the primary responsibility is to maintain the electrical infrastructure of the city. Other duties may include assisting other departments with their duties. Certified Electrician or Electric lineman is not required as those duties are contracted out.
Job Requirements include but not limited to: must possess or be able to obtain a valid Iowa Class (B) CDL, be able to work independently, have understanding of basic electrical principles, have understanding of basic mechanics and working knowledge of large equipment, be able and willing to further educated and complete training, must have a clean driving record, be able to work with electrical contractors and be able to understand codes and preform record keeping duties.
Required to perform standby / on-call duties.
