  • Provide quality service to members and potential members by educating them on services and the technology that is available to them, including referring them to appropriate products and services to improve their financial position
  • Support membership calls and emails, branch service requests, and employee questions
  • Support escalated calls from other card services representatives
  • Assist with training and mentoring Card Services Representatives, deepening their experience in the department and overall payments landscape
  • Conduct internal education as needed on changes to card products
  • Process member card orders and perform other card issuing functions
  • Review various departmental reports and complete follow up as needed
  • Review fraud warnings and investigate potential card compromises
  • Process card closed cases and breaches and report to CUNA for bond claims
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and business partners to enhance departmental efficiencies and member experience
  • Maintain thorough understanding of the Visa and MasterCard program, and service as resource within department.
  • Manage Springboard, Shazam logins, and any other program administration changes
  • Maintain procedure manual for all products and services in the department
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Ideal candidates will have knowledge in any one or all of these areas:

  • Merchant Processing
  • ATM/ITM Services
  • Digital payments
  • Chargebacks


  • High school diploma or equivalent (ie. GED)
  • 5+ years financial industry experience, strongly preferred
  • To be self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding member service skills to provide quality service to members, potential members and coworkers
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to handle difficult conversations in a tactful and professional manner
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to navigate between multiple programs and utilize dual computer screens
  • To thrive in a fast paced high volume call center environment
  • To promote a professional image of the credit union at all times
