Position Hours: Every Monday and Tuesday (10 hour days in Surgical Services) and 1 other day per pay period (48 hrs/ppd total); weekend and holiday rotation
Plans, administers, implements, and evaluates occupational therapy for all appropriate programs and services within the PM&R department, for all patient age groups. Possesses the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with department protocol. The age of the patients served range in age from infants to geriatrics.
Customers include: patients, family/visitors, co-workers, physicians and their office staff, social services, dietary/nutrition vendors/volunteers, outside agencies, students and all Mercy Medical Center employees assisting the department in the delivery of patient care, i.e. nursing, etc.
Registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NCBOT) Bachelor’s Degree Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
