Tri-State Occupational Health, a joint venture of Medical Associates Clinic and Mercy Medical Center, is seeking an outgoing, energetic, ambitious LPN/RN to provide quality, professional occupational health services to clients and employees in our Dyersville location within scope of practice and workplace needs.

Ideal candidates possess strong communication skills and enjoy working in a specialized medical field in the Dyersville area to coordinate and perform quality, professional services for our clients’ occupational health and work comp needs. Previous occupational health nursing is a positive. Certification in audiogram and spirometry will be offered and provided within 1 year of hire.

This is a full time, 30-40 hour per week position that is benefits eligible with a varying schedule from Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Flexibility with schedule and some travel are required for this position.

Core duties of the position include, but are not limited to, performing audiograms, pulmonary function testing, respirator fit testing, drug and alcohol collections, administration of immunizations, coordination of scheduling of occupational health services, care coordination of work comp treatment, some client relations and marketing of services.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with health care team to direct/perform nursing assessment and interventions according to plan of care.

Integrate the nursing process in all patient contact, care, diagnostic testing, and treatments.  Collect pertinent patient health care data, review medical records and confer/collaborate with physician/mid level providers to ensure patient needs are met.

Communicate effectively with patients, co workers, and others.  Promote patient wellness and provide patient education.

Document care provided, including but not limited to: assessment, interventions, medication, patient education, and assist with integrity of medical record.

Maintain an office environment that is safe, neat, organized, and supplied with necessary equipment, instruments, supplies, and educational materials.  Ensure equipment is functioning safely and properly.  Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment according to guidelines.

Demonstrate flexibility in performing other additional duties of patient care.  Provide input for devising systems to improve quality and efficiency of patient care and workflow.  Participate in required meetings.

Facilitate reimbursement of services provided, including but not limited to: charge tickets, referrals, and insurance requirements.

Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
