The University of Dubuque invites applications for a Full-time Faculty position in Instrumental Music/Director of Athletic Bands beginning, August, 2019. We are looking for an individual who is excited by the opportunity to lead the establishment of an athletic band program and to contribute to the development of a music major. Primary responsibilities include the ongoing recruitment of student musicians (release time is provided) and directing the ensemble(s). Additionally responsibilities include teaching in the candidate’s area of expertise, advising students, maintaining a scholarship agenda, and participating in the broader life of the University. Preferred qualifications include an earned doctorate, extensive directing experience, and teaching experience.
