ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL
UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. Finley Hospital is a not-for-profit, locally owned, regional healthcare facility part of the UnityPoint Health system. Work hours will be (4) 10 hour night shifts, 7:30 pm - 5:30 am, for 80 hours per pay period, and as needed. You will primarily work Tuesday through Friday nights. You will be required to flex to other shifts as needed.
The Polysomnography Tech performs tests and procedures that test brain waves and functions on sleep patients to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders. Reviews patient medical history and documents patient sleep issues, documents test results, and keeps records of patient progress. Explains to patients the nature of procedures that will be performed on them and prepares them for procedures. Attaches equipment to patients and makes sure patients are comfortable before sleeping. The Tech also monitors the effectiveness of the equipment during a study to ensure everything is working properly.
Must be a registered Polysomnography Tech. EEG Tech registration or ability to gain registration within 2 years of hire date is preferred. Must have CPR certification. Must be flexible to cover shifts when needed.
