We are looking for a full-time Clinic LPN or CMA to join our Urgent Care Clinic. Work hours will be 12 hours shifts between 7:30 am to 8:00 pm, for 72 hours per pay period, and as needed. You will be required to flex to other shifts as needed. This position does have a holiday and weekend rotation.
Our Urgent Care clinics, following the concierge model, are a combination of comfort and care. We offer free beverages in our waiting rooms while our patients wait to be seen by one of our clinical team members. We are able to treat a variety of illnesses and minor injuries. In addition, our staff are also trained in urine drug screens, worker's compensation visits, and other occupational health needs. Our Urgent Care clinics are open 365 days/year - including all major holidays - from 8:00 am-8:00 pm and we accept any type of walk-in patient.
The Clinical Concierge CMA is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back office duties in the outpatient management of patients and completing or assisting with front office duties on a rotating basis. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting working under the direction of a physician. This position works closely with the physicians, other clinical staff, and front office staff. Work situations are a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. Acting as the patient advocate the Clinical Concierge has continuous contact with physicians, patients, patient families/ significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management.
The Clinical Concierge License Practical Nurse will assist provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patient for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures. Administer medication, other treatments, and injections as ordered by provider. Tracking and follow-up on patient testing related to disease process management, schedule referrals, answer phone calls and take appropriate messages, and appropriate documentation in electronic medical record. Perform phlebotomy and lab testing as needed. Assist and perform other procedures, including EKG. Perform all x-ray examinations, within scope of limited radiology tech certification, as ordered by provider.
Must be a graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses. Current license to practice in the State of Iowa for Licensed Practical Nurse .
Must have a Medical assistant education from an accredited training program with AAMA or NCMA certification required.
Previous experience in a clinic setting is preferred, but not required.
