The Microbiology & Nutrition Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the acquisition, development, and execution of digital and print products that meet the market needs of these disciplines. Responsible for achieving editorial quality and profitability for each product created under his/her sponsorship. 

Your contribution to the team includes:
• Understanding customer market problems through market research and synthesis.
• Identifying, prioritizing, and executing business plans to grow market share, promoting customer retention, and drive revenue.  
• Conceptualizing and developing innovative content solutions that address the needs of the markets through a deep understanding of market problems.
• Collaborating with all appropriate company personnel to guide the timely and profitable publication of course programs with an emphasis on digital content development.
• Analyzing qualitative and quantitative research and data to present the product development strategy with a vision statement/value proposition, P&L, resource allocation, schedules, market dynamics, and strategy for success for evaluation by senior leadership.
• Hiring and managing freelancers and collaborating with the product development team to ensure rigorous market development practices.
• Negotiating contracts and partnerships for new and revised product offerings.

What you'll need to be successful:
• A Bachelor's degree.
• Three plus years of customer facing, business development or sales experience.
• Two plus years in a product management or product development role, with an emphasis on educational technology. 
• Knowledge of quality content development, instructional design, and curriculum. 
• An energetic personality comfortable collaborating within and across teams. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Strong organization, project management, and attention to detail.
• Solid financial management and budgeting capabilities. 
• Commitment to travel nationally, approximately 20-30%.
