Job Description: Clarke University is currently recruiting for an Adult and Graduate Studies Academic Experience Coordinator responsible for providing essential support to students enrolled in adult and graduate studies at Clarke. This position manages daily activities of the Adult and Graduate Studies office, as well as facilitates activities and functions related to adult and graduate student retention, graduate culture, and adult and graduate student support. This position also serves as the main contact for all graduate and adult students beyond faculty and advisors. Specific duties include: providing initial and ongoing support for the academic needs of adult and graduate students; transitioning students from deposited to registered/enrolled students; liaising with admissions, marketing, financial aid, registrar, and other institutional departments regarding all matters adult and graduate; advocating for and supporting Adult and Graduate Studies student services activities and retention efforts; collaborating with Adult and Graduate department chairs, program directors, and faculty to support program offerings, assessment, and creation of a distinct adult and graduate culture; managing day-to-day office functions; and performing other duties as assigned. The successful Adult and Graduate Studies Academic Experience Coordinator is skilled in quickly establishing interpersonal relationships as well as in determining what is needed for student and programmatic success. The coordinator functions with minimal active supervision. Note: Position will require periodic evening and weekend hours to allow for adult and graduate student support in hybrid/weekend graduate programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail, is essential. Experience with academic services at the college level is preferred. A high degree of computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office, databases, and web-based software is a plus. Outstanding time management and organization skills required. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects and accomplish critical tasks on time, despite interruptions.
