The Laboratory Department at Medical Associates Clinic is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to join the team! Ideal candidate will have some phlebotomy, clinic, or health care experience, enjoys working at a fast pace, is able to multi-task and always goes above and beyond to provide outstanding patient care. Medical Associates provides all the training necessary for their Phlebotomists.
This position will work day shifts with varying start and end times anywhere from 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. This position does include a minimal Saturday rotation.
40 hours/week, full-benefits eligible
This position will be on a rotating schedule between East and West Campuses.
Medical Associates Laboratory Department (East and West Campus):
We are equipped with the latest diagnostic instrumentation, and staffed by professionals who are committed to quality testing. Our patients receive personalized and comfortable care in modern facilities where a wide array of testing is available. We provide consultative services to primary and specialty care physicians with accurate, confidential, and timely results.
Our clinical technologists are educated, trained, and licensed to work in all areas of laboratory testing to ensure proper methods of specimen collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results. They perform a full range of lab tests—from simple blood chemistry to more complex testing procedures—all of which play a vital role in health promotion, diagnosis of illness, and management of disease.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collect laboratory specimens from patients of all age groups and instruct patients for special laboratory testing.
Perform venipuncture, arterial punctures and capillary fingersticks or heelsticks punctures; collect other laboratory specimens; instruct patients of all ages on collections of laboratory specimens; and properly identify and label laboratory specimens.
Access and create patient orders; and perform data entry of laboratory test results.
Provide back up for receptionists duties as required.
