Kendall Hunt Publishing Company currently has a Higher Education Marketing internship available at our Dubuque headquarters for the fall/spring semester and over the summer. This position will assist with writing overviews of publications, creating persuasive copy for websites and printed material, and updating the Kendall Hunt Higher Education website.
- Reviewing publications and writing overview ad copy for printed collateral materials (catalogs, flyers, etc.)
- Writing persuasive ad copy for websites and emails using HTML (minimal HTML skills required)
- Researching and collecting names / email addresses of potential adopters, authors, customers, etc.
- Reviewing and approving marketing requests for publications.
- Communicating professionally via email, phone, etc
- Printing and mailing printed collateral materials
- Completing checklists and approval forms
- Organizing and archiving computer files
Prefers students that are majoring in Marketing, Communication, Business, Public Relations, and related fields. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software and Outlook required. Ideal candidate would have some experience with Adobe Dreamweaver and possess strong writing and copyediting skills with attention to detail.
