The Grand Harbor is accepting applications for a full-time Overnight Security position. This position is responsible for the hotel security. Will be working 3 to 4 nights per week, approximately 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. Schedule subject to change upon departmental needs. The schedule would tentatively be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and every 3rd Saturday.
Basic Criteria: Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including repetitive motion, lifting, bending and pushing. Must possess the following skills:
* Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
* Possess problem solving skills and ability to act as authority figure
* Possess excellent customer service skills
* Ability to be productive during overnight shift and work effectively without supervision
* Team player
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled by manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Complete daily functions of overnight hotel security including:
- Ensure the safety and security of hotel guests.
- Maintain hotel safety by securing public entrances, Waterpark areas and guest floors.
- Enforce hotel policies and procedures as they relate to noise control and fire alarms.
Shuttle guests to their requested location. Maintain accurate shuttle logs recording trips, mileage etc.
Respond to guest requests as needed.
Perform nightly maintenance checklist; contact Facilities Director as problems arise. Complete maintenance projects as assigned.
Perform general cleaning duties of public areas.
Promote and practice safety standards at all times.
