The Sisters of Charity, BVM is seeking a Director of Development who will continue the development, implementation, and management of a multi-faceted development program that supports the needs and mission of the BVM Congregation. Responsibilities include working closely with members of the Congregation to steward existing donors, source new prospects, and secure major gifts. S/he will be responsible for setting goals and direction, and creating the systems, processes and procedures to ensure success. S/he will also carry a successful track record of utilizing a variety of sources for raising funds.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent leadership and written/verbal communication skills and a commitment to grow in knowledge and understanding of the BVM Community. Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of development experience required, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge software desired.
