ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL
UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. Finley Hospital is a not-for-profit, locally owned, regional healthcare facility part of the UnityPoint Health system. We are looking for a part-time, RN/LPN or CMA to work in our Family Practice Clinics. Work hours will be days, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, for 48 hours per pay period, and as needed.
Our Family Practice Clinics are located in Cascade, Peosta, and on Pennsylvania Avenue in Dubuque. the Cascade and Peosta Clinics are also walk-in care clinics. Our Pennsylvania Avenue Clinic location also houses our Weomen't Health and Behavioral Health Clinics. The general hours of operation for our Family Practice Clinics are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm, other than Cascade, which is open from 8:30 am-5:00 pm and closed on Thursdays.
Assists provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patient for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures. Administers medication, other treatments, and injections as ordered by provider. Tracks and follows up on patient testing related to disease process management, schedules referrals, answers phone calls and takes appropriate messages, and makes appropriate documentation in electronic medical records. Performs phlebotomy and lab testing as needed. Assists and performs other procedures as needed.
Must have an active RN license to practice in the state of Iowa. The position requires at least an Associate's degree in nursing. RN employees are required to have or obtain a BSN within five years after their start date with UnityPoint Health - Dubuque.
Must be a graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses. Current license to practice in the State of Iowa for Licensed Practical Nurse .
Must have a Medical assistant education from an accredited training program with AAMA or NCMA certification required.
Previous experience in a clinic setting is preferred, but not required.
