ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL
UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. Finley Hospital is a not-for-profit, locally owned, regional healthcare facility part of the UnityPoint Health system. Work hours will be days, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per pay period, and as needed.
Finley's Occupational Health team is an extension of the employer's workforce. Department responsibilities include: work comp care; initial triage, injury and follow-up care; breath alcohol screening, drug screening, hearing screening, spirometry testing, respirator fit testing; vaccinations, employee educational programs, and various other occupational health clinic services. Required certifications are provided by Finley Occupational Health.
The Physical Therapist screens patients to determine the need for physical therapy services. Performs physical therapy patient evaluations according to doctors' referrals and communicates any changes to physician. Designs physical therapy plans fo care that integrate patient/family goals, treatment, outcomes, and doctor's care plan. Performs physical therapy intervention as requested by physician. addresses patient needs for services other than physical therapy (e.g. occupational therapy). Educates others using relevant and effective teaching methods. Responsible for the direction of the PT Assistants and PT Techs/Aides according to regulatory standards.
An active, non-conditional Physical Therapist license issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health via the Iowa Bureau of Professional Licensure is required. Must have a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
