Kendall Hunt is a customized textbook publisher in Higher Education, K-12 and Religious markets and we currently have an internship opportunity at our Dubuque headquarters for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with proven experience in Outlook, Word and Excel to join our team. The internship is for the spring and summer.
About the Job
The internship will provide the opportunity to learn and apply valuable editorial and journalism skills within a publishing environment that develops customize curriculum for the K-12 traditional and non-traditional classrooms.
Duties may include:
- Work on editing content that directly ties to our customized product lines
- Check confirming page proofs for customized programs
- Develop and create art logs for programs
- Update and track program assessments
- Write and rewrite product-line blogs for the traditional and nontraditional classroom markets that support the brands
- Establish a plan for scheduling content updates for weekly blogs, website updates, and social media-related content
- Interview program authors to create articles and blogs
