UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. This is a Weekend Package Plus position for 48 hours per pay period, and as needed. You will work (6) 8 hour shifts per pay period. Shifts will be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on the weekends and from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm during the week. You will work 4 consecutive weekends in a row with every 5th weekend off.
The Utilization Review RN position is an integral part of a collaborative effort to deliver quality and cost efficient health care to patients. Concentrated effort is given to the process of matching health care treatment needs to hospital resources via placing the patient at the most appropriate level of care. This position effectively communicates with physicians, payers and others to promote fiscal responsibility and effective use of available resources to decrease fragmentation of care. Collaborates with the rest of the case management team in this effort. Also works closely with the team responsible for bedding patients, care coordinators and the overall health care team.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Iowa RN license to practice.
- BSN degree preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting with recognized knowledge and expertise in caring for specific patient populations.
- Experience with computer data management applications preferred.
- Certification in Case Management preferred.
- Must be able to utilize computer programs proficiently.
