Medical Associates Clinic offers several locations from which to seek medical care, including facilities at 1500 Associates Drive, 1000 Langworthy, and 1940 Elm Street in Dubuque, Iowa; as well as facilities in Bellevue, Cascade, Dyersville, Elkader, and Monona, Iowa; Cuba City, and Platteville, Wisconsin; and Elizabeth and Galena, Illinois.

Our 100+ physicians and 900 health care professionals lead the way in providing quality healthcare in Northeast Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin and Northwest Illinois. We currently have a need for a Physician Assistant in our Dubuque, Iowa location.
This is a full-time position providing Orthopaedic surgical support and medical services under the direction of supervising surgeons. Candidates must have current Iowa PA license. Preference will be given to those with orthopaedic and/or surgical experience.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Provide surgical and post-surgical services in collaboration with or under the direction of supervising physicians; including but not limited to: prepping schedules and documentation for surgery, assisting with surgeries, and providing post-surgical care. Provide patient education to promote wellness and support the care coordination process.
Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to: hospital rounds, skilled nursing visits, documenting discharge summaries and/or provide on call coverage as needed.
Complete all other assigned projects and duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience - A minimum of two to three years of experience as a specialized Orthopaedic provider.
Education - Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree. Physician Assistant license required.
Interpersonal Skills - The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
