Systems & Network Administrator- Tier 1

The Role:

 PBS Systems is looking for a Systems & Network Administrator to join our Infrastructure Team in Dubuque. The ideal candidate is a technical and customer service oriented individual who is eager to learn. As our Systems & Network Admin, you will provide excellent support to our internal customers. This role provides the opportunity to work individually and within the team in a fast-paced changing environment.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor & Respond to Helpdesk Tickets
  • Troubleshoot Desktop, Server & Network Issues
  • Escalate critical issues to senior team members
  • Work on Special Projects as assigned
  • Manage Windows and Software deployment with SCCM
  • Managing daily backups using Veeam/Windows
  • Manage VOIP System 3CX
  • Patch and deploy systems with SCCM
  • Perform internal network monitoring and troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
  • Maintain internal documentation on hardware, software, inventory, and asset configuration
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects according to budgets and schedules
  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance
  • Install new users using Active Directory and Exchange Management Console and setup workstations, install network cabling etc.

 

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in System or Network Administrator role
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred
  • Must have hands-on expertise with servers, switches, and firewalls
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, incident management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to Troubleshoot Windows 10 Operating Systems and client applications
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Servers 2016/2012, Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Linux Servers
  • Knowledge of Networking, VLANS, VPNS and Firewalls
  • Understanding of windows deployment using SCCM and remote deployment Applications
  • Thorough understanding of PC Hardware & Software with a focus on Microsoft Products

  • CompTIA A+ / Network + Certification
  • CCNA Certification
  • Microsoft Product Certifications MCSA / MCSE
  • Knowledge of Skype for Business, SharePoint, Exchange/Office 365, SCCM, Veeam
