The University of Dubuque is a growing University that is seeking a Lead Teacher for the Childcare Center. We seek applicants who have a passion for teaching, a love for children, and want to work with other teachers as a team to ensure high quality care and education.
- Maintain daily communication with parents
- Provide quality educational experiences
- Complete and post weekly lesson plans based on Creative Curriculum
- Observe and assess each child based upon the Creative Curriculum
- Model appropriate teaching and behavior strategies for assistant teachers
- Facilitate parent-teacher conferences twice a year
- Attend to cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Develop interpersonal relationships with children and their families
- Any other duties as assigned by Director
- Minimum of high school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience working with children is required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule is preferred
- Current certification in First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and Mandatory Reporting training is preferred: ability to obtain certifications after employment is required
