The Sinsinawa Dominicans employ approximately 150 people in occupations ranging from accounting, clerical, food service, graphic design, housekeeping, human resources, maintenance, nursing, and public relations.
Duties include operating a computerized inventory control system and maintaining petty cash drawer accurately; assisting with reports and processing transactions for end-of-day closing; keeping bookshop neat, setting up displays and restocking; and greeting guests in an open and friendly manner.
Preferred applicants will have retail experience. Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality are required. Computer literacy is also necessary. Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and squat for extended lengths of time. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 10 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis; lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis. Ability to climb and work from step stool or ladder of varying heights.
The position is budgeted for 20 hours a week and will include flexible scheduling including working Saturdays.
