We’ve got immediate openings at our two Big 10 Mart locations on John F. Kennedy Road in Dubuque for an Assistant Store Manager. Our most successful assistant store managers are looked at as potential Store Managers, managing a store location of their own within our company.
So how do you land one of these opportunities? You will have at least two years’ experience in a retail environment, and if you have some leadership experience it would be a plus. Convenience store experience is not necessary, but if you possess that experience, it would place you above other candidates. In your skillset you will possess solid team building skills and a drive and desire to make your store the best in the area.
Here are the details on this opportunity:
Assists the store manager with supervising sales workers in a Big 10 Convenience Store. Does not have authority to hire, discipline, or terminate employees. You will be learning all the duties of the store, to include cashiering, stocking, cleaning, ordering, and doing paperwork. You will be the manager’s right hand in running the store.
Experience and Education:
Education: High School diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree (or other 2-year degree) or higher preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Retail/C-Store Industry, 6 months of leadership experience preferred.

- Crouch, crawl, squat, climb as required
