- Requires a bachelors or associates degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Fulfillment of licensure of the State of Wisconsin for a RN, and be legally eligible to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
- Knowledge of and understands the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and RN Scope of Practice
- Minimum of one year RN experience in OR department preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required, and additional department-specific certifications required/recommended per the Clinical Employee Certification Requirements document.
- Basic computer skills and of specialized equipment used within the department.
We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Surgical Coordinator to work Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
The Surgical Coordinator (Scheduler) provides general secretarial/clerical/receptionist and patient care services to the Surgery Department. Maintains par levels of office supplies necessary for efficient operation and assume responsibility for coordinating the operating room schedules. The Scheduler will be able to respond to written and oral correspondence regarding schedule changes/cancellations in a timely accurate manner. The Surgical Coordinator will also perform pre-operative interviews over the phone and in person and educate patient on post-operative care.
