Wedding Coordinator The Wedding Coordinator will help create and promote a positive, personal experience to all guests and clients. Events may include but not limited to Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Ceremonies, Gift Openings and Showers. Be a part of our fun and exciting wedding team to ensure goals while creating successful events.
Responsibilities and Duties Develops and manages strong client and guest relationships Works with client from start to finish, including initial sharing of pricing, property tour, contracting, detailing event and greeting the client on site Ensures a timely response to client and guest inquiries with the expected response time of one business day or less Increases sales through enhanced packages, amenities, food, liquor or other items Effectively communicate with the various departments to ensure that the weddings and related functions are execute to exceed expectations Maintain well documents, accurate, organized and up to date file management in order to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organize and knowledge manner Anticipates and resolves guest service concerns by providing solutions in a promptly and professional matter Represents the Grand River Center at social functions including wedding tradeshows
To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
A minimum of 1-3 years of event planning or wedding experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Must have the ability to work a variety of shifts, weekends, evenings and holidays
Ability to meet deadlines and handle difficult situations
Basic understanding of financial statement, budgets and revenue reports
Knowledge of the food, beverage and catering industry
Strong attention to detail and follow through
Intermediate use of Microsoft software programs and preferred knowledge in Delphi
