Two things can surely be promised - No two days will EVER be the same and you will learn something new every day. Safety Management Services Company (SMSC), a subsidiary of Cottingham & Butler, Inc. (30th largest insurance brokerage in the U.S.) is currently seeking a bright and highly motivated individual to join our team of safety consultants.
Typical projects may include:
Gap analysis safety assessments, loss leader evaluations of work-related injuries, mock OSHA compliance investigations, planning and presenting at risk control workshops/safety seminars, writing technical reports, developing safety service plans, developing and conducting safety webinars, developing and conducting various training programs, and staying abreast of current safety regulations and hot topics across many industries.
We prefer candidates with safety or operational knowledge and experience within the industrial staffing; manufacturing, transportation and construction industries. Familiarity with the OSHA Regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and a minimum of three years of safety experience (industry and/or loss control) is preferred. A CSP, ASP, ARM, Certified Director of Safety (CDS) or Certified Safety Supervisor (CSS) from NATMI or working towards any of these certifications is preferred, but not mandatory. Travel is required and typically consists of 2-3 overnights per week.
