Position hours: Sunday-Saturday; varied hours 5:15am-1:45pm, 5:30am-2pm, 5:45am-2:45pm; every other weekend and holiday; on call and as needed
Under direct supervision of the Cafeteria Coordinator, the Dietary Assistant functions as part of the customer service team and assists in the preparation and serving of food for personnel and visitors. Performs a variety of related cleaning and stocking duties. Under direct supervision of the Chef Coordinator, the Cook functions as part of the Food Production Team to produce consistently high quality food for patients, personnel, and visitors. Provides services for all age groups, infant to elderly.
Experience is not required. On-the-job training is provided to reach normal productivity under close supervision. High School diploma desirable, but not required.
