Medical Associates Clinic is hiring a Therapy Tech to join our team in our Physical Therapy Department on the West Campus.
Schedule/Hours: This position is full-time, 40 hours/week. Your scheduled hours could be between 6:45 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Location: Primarily working at the West Campus, but flexibility with schedule and location is required as they may occasionally be scheduled to fill in at the Platteville, WI and Galena, IL offices.
Role: Assist physical/occupational therapist or physical therapist assistant with treatment programs for patients which are predetermined and assigned by the therapist or assistant. Therapy Techs have regular charting responsibilities.

About the Physical Therapy Department:
Physical therapy is a type of treatment you may need when health problems make it hard to move around and do everyday tasks. Injuries, physical impairments and disabilities can affect your movements. Physical therapy helps improve or restore your physical function and your fitness level by decreasing pain, making you stronger and helping you move better.
The goal of the Medical Associates Physical Therapy department is to provide treatment for patients that will help make daily tasks and activities easier. Physical Therapists are experts in movement and are highly trained to evaluate a patient's condition, and design and implement an individualized treatment program.
A treatment program may include:
•Exercise programs for strength, stretching, balance
•Hands on application
Medical Associates Physical Therapists practice in collaboration with referring healthcare providers from other disciplines including primary and specialty care providers. Patients may also access our physical therapists through self-referral.

•Injury Prevention Education
•Work Hardening/Work Conditioning
•Functional Capacity Testing
•Ergonomic Assessment & Recommendations
•Job Site Analysis
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Perform therapy modalities and exercise instruction for patients under the supervision of the physical/occupational therapists or physical therapist assistants. Monitor patient at regular intervals and assist patient in the safe practice of activities related to development of strength and endurance until treatment or exercise conclusion.
Prepare treatment area, patient and equipment for treatment. Assist with established procedures for care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Prepare, maintain, and clean up work stations, treatment areas, and gym.
Assist with chart filing, charge ticket processing and discharging of therapy records according to department policies and procedures. Verify insurance coverage and complete appropriate paper work for approved therapy visits. Schedule patient appointments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience preferred but not required.
Education: Equivalent to a high school education. Coursework in anatomy will be relevant and helpful.
