Warehouse Technician - 1st Shift (VMI)

As a Warehouse Technician, you are responsible for unloading, loading, checking in, tagging, putting away, picking and kitting of all material received in the warehouse daily. This is a full-time, Evaluation to hire position at our Vendor Managed Inventory warehouse in Dubuque, IA. Typical hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Mon-Fri), overtime as needed.  If you have experience as a Warehouse Associate, Picker/Packer, Order Puller, Dock Worker or Forklift Operator this could be your opportunity.

Essential Duties:  Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
  • Operate material handling equipment in a safe & efficient manner (forklift, etc.)
  • Check-in and receive all inbound freight
  • Tag and put away all inbound freight, scan into location
  • Pick and scan out all outbound freight, kit if necessary, and prepare for shipment
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse
  • Comply with all OSHA and site-specific safety & PPE requirements
  • Work toward continuous quality improvement
  • Stay current with changing technology
  • Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures

Reporting to this position:  No direct reports

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, the Warehouse Technician must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.

  • High School Diploma, GED or continuing education
  • Forklift experience highly desired; but not required; on the job training
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
