Radiology Department Secretary
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- One to two years’ related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding preferred.
- Proficiency in computerized word processing and familiar with HRIS systems preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records and scheduling is beneficial.
We are seeking a part-time (24 hours/week) Radiology Department Secretary to work Monday through Friday (8:30am-5:00pm) in our Radiology Department.
Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Radiology Director performs day-to-day operations of the radiology department. This position plays a key role for an open line of communication between physicians, their office staff and other departments within the Hospital. Performs general clerical work, answers telephone, schedules appointments and enters information and other data into the Hospital information system. This position is also responsible to review information necessary for the scheduling of diagnostic procedures.
