Under close supervision, is responsible for assisting the Physical, Occupational and/or Speech Therapy staff in routine patient care activities. Possesses the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with department protocol. The age of the patients served range in age from infants to geriatrics. In addition to the aide scope of service, the aide receptionist is responsible for scheduling of patients in their respective work areas, assisting with determining staffing needs to provide adequate patient care, verifying and completing insurance requirements, admitting patients, and communicating with patients and other health professionals to obtain needed information.
High school diploma required. Office and computer experience required. Experience in a health care setting preferred. CNA preferred but not mandatory.
