About the Program
Hillcrest operates several 3-5 bed Adult Group Homes (AGH) for adults who have a mental health diagnosis. These homes often serve as a stepping stone from hospitalizations and institutionalization to independent living. These residences offer the following services:
- 24 hour staffing
- Individual counseling
- Care coordination
- Recreational activities (structured and unstructured)
- Medication management
- Instruction on daily living
Your Responsibilities
As a Mental Health Counselor (DSP) at the Adult Group Homes, your primary responsibilities include providing general client/patient care. In addition, you will be:
- Observing/documenting clients' behavior, mental status, and activities
- Performing safety checks at scheduled times
- Treating clients and families with respect and dignity
- Providing emotional support
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED or NCR accepted)
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience working with adults who have chronic mental illness
- Valid drivers license and ability to meet agency driving requirements
- Ability to pass medications (Med Manager or Certified Medication Assistant)
- Experience assisting in activities of daily living
- Health care documentation
