Business Manager of The College of Engineering, Mathematics & Science

Position Summary:

The College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science (EMS) seeks to fill Business Manager position. The EMS Business Manager is responsible for conducting detailed policy and resource analyses to support decision-making, planning, assessment, and policy formulation for the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science. Wage range is $50,000-$58,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience, in addition to, excellent fringe benefits. 


This position will focus on delivery of data, information and service to the dean. The successful candidate will administer the financial components of various programs for students and faculty/staff, manage and track hiring paperwork, contracts and payments,  manage the administrative components of the Dean’s Office, supervise and oversee training of Dean’s Office staff, and assign duties for these employees. Responsibilities include serving as liaison with various staff from across campus, e.g., Accounts Payable, Budget Office, Foundation, General Ledger Office, Grants Accounting, Human Resources, Institutional Research, ORSP, Payroll, and Purchasing.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least one year prior experience creating, monitoring and managing budgets
  • At least one year prior experience reviewing and preparing reports and financial statements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
