Job Overview
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems
- Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services
- Maintains customer records by updating account information
- Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
- Enter customer orders
- Provide customers with a clear understanding of their order, delivery dates, invoicing and warranties
- Assist in building and maintaining technical knowledge base
- Assist with, and follow-up on quotes
- Assist in conducting competitive research and analysis
- Assist outside sales representatives as needed
- CRM data entry of prospects and customers
- Attend industry and product related training programs, conferences, seminars, and educational forumsas required
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Microsoft Office experience
- Sales or customer service experience
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Positive attitude
- Able to foster and develop profitable long-term relationships
- Willingness and ability to learn new things
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree minimum
- 2+ years’ experience in Sales and/or Customer Service
- Will consider 4-year degree in lieu of experience
- Manufacturing or Distribution Experience a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping. Strength rating for this job is L – Light Work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical requirements are more than those for sedentary work.
